About Rubini

“Rubini’ is short for Marubinii – a popular name among Tshivenda speakers – meaning origin and is of deep significance to our founder and her family.

The Rubini Collective is a Pretoria-based, black woman-owned craft company that produces scented home and body products, as well as décor items, by hand and with love.

Our store is a collection of memories, ideas and conversations all inspired by things that remind us of home. They’ve been designed with African homes in mind, which is why each product range bears an African name. Nyakallo means joy in Sesotho, Lulama means recovery in the Nguni languages, and Tsireledzo means protection in Tshivenda.

There’s pride in every pour, sweetness in every stitch and wellness in every wick.
